PLAYHOUSE COMPLETE

In a previous post, I showed a bunch of pictures of the playhouse exterior that my wife and I built for our children. As far as the structure, roofing, and deck flooring is concerned, that was all done by me. My wife, on the other hand, took care of the painting and interior work. And not just interior painting, mind you -- my wife drywalled, taped, and mudded the inside of the playhouse, AND painted it. On top of that, she even made the curtains.
Here are some progression shots:
Drywall and mud.
Some make-shift furniture, repurposed from some cabinets we tore out of our kitchen. I turned it upside down and flipped the doors over, so now it's a cabinet and bench.
Cute shelving and curtains. My wife is sure knows how to turn a place into a home, even if it is just for play.
A better shot of the shelf and all the knick-knacks on it.
A shot of the door and the other window, also adorned with a curtain.
This is the view from the top, looking in through the open gable. The floor is still dusty from drywall dust, but it has since been cleared off. It's quite pretty, really.
I want to put some interior trim around the doors, windows, and floors, but as far as the kids are concerned (and they're the ones that matter in this case), the playhouse is done. There's been more than a few tea parties, dinner parties, and other such events in the playhouse, and I imagine that there will be many more to come.
