It's very easy to think of ancient Israel during the times of the Old Testament and consider them silly and foolish when they poured their gold together and created golden calves, which they subsequently worshipped. It's hard for many of us to consider worshipping an idol, much less one that we ourselves created... yet we throw money into our plans and projects and clothes and cars and expect the result to save us from whatever ails us.

It is no different with Christians today. We have no faith.
