In case you haven't heard, the Bush administration is dropping the phrase, "war on terror," and will instead use a new phrase: "the war on global violent extremism."

Right. Because "terror" wasn't vague enough. Now we have "violent extremism," and that'll somehow make the the world safer.

So keep in mind... the plain-clothes officers in London that shelled the innocent brazilian point-blank in the head 8 times while he lay on the ground are not called "terrorists." Now we call them "violent extremists."
