Woo hoo!
I finally got my white 510 running. Last night, I couldn't get it to fire up, and it turns out that I had the oil spindle turned 180 degrees backwards. It took me a while to figure it out, but after reading one of my 510 manuals and figuring out how to properly time an engine, I realized that the rotor under the distributor cap was turned backwards when the #1 piston was TDC. That clued me in on the spindle, so I dropped the oil pump and turned the spindle around.
I have a lot of tuning to do with the carburetor, and I've got some leaks here and there (in fact, I might need to yank the whole front cover and reseal it... boo), but I can keep it running. YAY!
