IDLE ACHIEVED - YAY GASKET SEALER!

VROOM! It looks like the gasket sealer works -- I got the engine to fire up and hold an idle! There's still a few things I need to work out... like why the starter has such a difficult time cranking over. I *believe* it's because there isn't enough juice going directly to the starter motor, but I'm not positive. It might be about bad grounds, you know? I'll try to pull things apart and put them back together when I get a chance. now I just need to make sure that I bolt everything down, hook up the tranny slave cylinder, bleed the clutch and brakes, and drive around the block. good times.

I have a nissan sentra '88 and we have (had) the same problem on your last post. Where did you put the gasket sealers? I'm currently DIYing my car too. :p

In this post, I used the gasket sealer on the carb where it mounted to the manifold.
