TEMPORARY SITE REDESIGN

In case it wasn't plainly obvious, the site has undergone a monstrous overhaul. I've decided to abandon the previous theme and layout, and instead swap it out with a basic layout and forget about the design element. I've been banging my head against my desk trying to figure out what kind of theme I want for my site, and have decided that no theme at all will work fine for now. When I think of something, I'll update it.
Along with the layout and visual theme change of the site, I think I've also decided to change the theme of the content as well. I've been meaning to spend more time actually writing my own content instead of regurgitating the stuff I find on all the mainstream news media. Don't get me wrong -- I love reading the latest political gossip on drudge and the quirky stuff I find on boingboing, but I'm not interested in posting what millions of people are already reading. I want to start posting my own content...
... which leads to the big question: what exactly is this site about, anyway? Over the last two years of blogging, I've switched themes several times, moving from a solely religious-commentary, to a religious/corporate-commentary, to a religious/corporate/political-commentary... and I think that the site's tag-line "healthy criticism of everything" is probably the most accurate way to describe what I've wanted this site to be.
At the same time, I occasionally like to write about my own experiences that have nothing to do with criticism or commentary of anything. At times, I just feel like writing. I originally created a "personal" section, as well as a "projects" section, thinking that would suffice, but it does seem to detract from the theme of the site. Is that alright? Is that not alright? I'm not sure. I might create a subdomain for my site that houses my "this-is-about-me" content... we'll see.
Anyhow, things are changing. It's going to be a bumpy ride.
