NORTH KOREA: NUKE TEST

Well, this is going to affect my travel plans to Korea in November.

In case you live under a rock and don't have any access to the news media except (somehow) through my site, North Korea just tested a nuclear bomb. No, that's not a picture of the explosion -- the tests were done underground, registering seismic activity at 4.2-magnitude.

SOURCE: CNN, ABC, NPR, etc., etc., etc.

Ugh.

Because this stuff just pisses me off. I not a big fan of nuclear bombs anyway, and the idea of starting an arms race where nukes are the established is a pretty bad situation.

My mom wants to know why we would live in fear and not just go to Korea... she also had no idea what was going on... apparently she doesn't watch the news.
