You may recall from a previous post of mine that Exxon Mobile's 2005 third-quarter profits were up in the $9.9 BILLION dollar range after the hurricanes. It looks like their fourth-quarter profits were even higher, sitting right at $10.71 billion. For the year, Exxon pulled in $36.13 billion, making it the highest reported income for any US company ever.
From the article:
To put that into perspective, Exxon's [gross] revenue for the year exceeded Saudi Arabia's estimated 2005 gross domestic product of $340.5 billion, according to statistics maintained by the Central Intelligence Agency.
