I'm a big advocate of free speech and free information. I'm not a big advocate of companies blocking access to certain websites - I think it's insulting and counter productive.
As such, I'm a big fan of the circumventor program. I think it's great. However... my employer's firewall also blocks sites that are even listed in the URL (for example: http://somesite.com/cgi-bin/circumventor/http/blockedsite.com). If the blocking software sees a blocked site in the URL at all, it'll block it.
So... I need a workaround. If you know of any, let me know!
UPDATE: It looks like putting circumventor behind an SSL page will prevent blocking software from seeing the content in the URL. fantastic! I have tested it out, and all is well!
