I had no idea that the Onion put together such outstanding videos.

Of course, for someone who is mildly concerned about the uprising of automated kill-bots and personality/preference tracking via Netflix's movie-pick algorithms, and of course, the bigdog walker bot, this is only mildly funny. It's also mildly scary.

Seriously. The distribution of plastic is really disturbing to me, and with plastic water bottles and disposable everything, it's just getting worse. The hormone-disrupting chemicals that are leeched out of plastics and in to our food supply is pretty frightening, and the ecological impact... ugh. I hate thinking about it, because there's nothing you can do. If big-industry is upriver killing poisoning all the fish, it makes no difference if you, the individual, stops buying products from big-industry. Most people just don't care, even when faced with reality, and they'll keep on making big-industry rich.

The Lorax would have a thing or two to say.
