KA/Z/L2.1

It's been a while since I've updated anything. The engine still smokes like crazy - at this point, we're suspecting bad rings, so it's going to need a rebuild. I've decided to go ahead and start working on a KA/Z/L2.1 engine. Specifically, it's a Z22 block bored 40 over (got it; just need to have it bored out), L20b crank (coming in the mail), Z20 rods (still hunting for them), and Z22 pistons (need to get oversized ones)... topped off with a SOHC KA24 head. This should be a good breathing, high-revving 2.1L engine, which suits my needs pretty well. For now, I think I'll stick with carburetion, but I'm going to start looking into the Megasquirt system for fuel management.

An important side note: I've never built an engine before, so this will be my first major project on a car. I'm a little nervous about it, but I've got enough books to make sure I go through the right steps.
