Microsoft is going to remove all references to "my" in their upcoming "Longhorn" version of Windows.
At my place of employment, my department is responsible for maintaining *brand image* so that there's a consistent theme across all forms of media, whether web application, document, poster, etc., etc. I think that removing the "my" from the "My Documents" and "My Music" folder will be a break away from their brand, since I've always associated "my anything" with Microsoft. How strange. Maybe it's to remind us that the software most of us are using isn't really ours anyway...
