A while back, I welded up a Tree of Life, not giving much thought to the theological side of things. Just recently, I had a request for my artistic interpretation of a Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. As I was thinking of how to make it, it struck me that the serpent's presence on this tree, as well as the serpent raised up on the staff in the wilderness all seemed to point to the crucifix, so I intentionally shaped this tree to resemble the cross.
