However, this new feature that I added is for me... not you.

In the past, all the updates to my blog have been done manually - I've basically gone into my ISP's user control panel into their PHP enabled database frontend and added blog entries that way. That's not really the best way to go about it; it's cumbersome, and on my webhost it's not secure.

So... I decided to write a perl script that'll handle incoming emails, and if a properly formatted (read: authenticated) email comes in, the script will recognize it as a blog entry and post the content into the database. GENIUS!

I use a secure web-based email client, which means all of my future blog entries will be securely sent, AND they'll be done straight from the client without having to navigate through my ISP's control panel. Yay for me!

... and for the technologically challenged, I'm sure this post meant absolutely NOTHING to you. Too bad for you.
