It turns out that the z22 exhaust manifold actually doesn't fit w/ the stock exhaust. All this time, I thought I had a stock exhaust line in the car, but I don't. The previous owner had the exhaust from some z22 engine in it. It's not a perfect fit, but it's quite a bit bigger... I'd guess either 2" or 2.25". so, I had to cut my exhaust line and rig something up. Fortunately, I kept the exhaust pipe from my old 510 and was able to cut off the front of it. I had to use a larger diameter pipe to fit over the two different exhaust lines, and now it's in there, suspended by hose clamps and zip-ties... just like Lyquoc's car. haha... eventually, I'll get it in there properly. Hopefully the zip ties don't break on me.
I still can't get the car to run properly at idle. I have to keep revving it hard. It *might* be related to the fact that I don't have the manifold sealed up very well... it might be letting too much air get by. I'm not positive. I'll give that a shot and see what happens, although I don't have a proper gasket for that. I'll also have to rig up some proper linkages for the weber carburetor that I'm using. As it is now, I can only actuate one of the throttle plates.
