PAT ROBERTSON'S TEST

But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death.

You may say to yourselves, "How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the LORD ?" If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does not take place or come true, that is a message the LORD has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him.

~ Deuteronomy 18:20-22 ~

Pat Robertson recently announced that God told him that a tsunami will crush the pacific northwest this year... which happens to be where I live. His way out is that he prefaced it with, "If I heard the Lord right," but we'll see. Personally, I think Pat Robertson is a lunatic, but you never can tell.

Full text from article:

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - In another in a series of notable pronouncements, religious broadcaster Pat Robertson says God told him storms and possibly a tsunami will hit America's coastline this year.

Robertson has made the predictions at least four times in the past two weeks on his news-and-talk television show "The 700 Club" on the Christian Broadcasting Network, which he founded.

Robertson said the revelations about this year's weather came to him during his annual personal prayer retreat in January.

"If I heard the Lord right about 2006, the coasts of America will be lashed by storms," Robertson said May 8. On Wednesday, he added, "There well may be something as bad as a tsunami in the Pacific Northwest."

Of course, if we follow the text in Deuteronomy as stated, we're going to have to get together and throw rocks at him once the new year hits in 2007.

I think Pat Robertson WANTS god to crush the PNW with a Tsunami so that we won't be able to vote against the republican candidate in '08. "If he heard God right," as if when God speaks to Pat he has a tendency to mumble incoherently, or his cel phone drops signal.
