Last night, I was making some changes to my site. While I was making changes, I got a little Windows popup dialog on the lower right corner of my screen. It's the popup that comes up whenever you plug in a USB device, only this time, it said, "invalid USB device detected," and said some other things about how windows couldn't detect it and that there was something wrong with it.

Now, I was just typing. I didn't plug anything in, so I had no idea why that popped up. I looked down near my computer case and saw that my two-year-old daughter had stuck the USB cable for my camera in her mouth (the other end of it is always plugged into the computer). She looked up and said, "ow. It's SPICY!"

My daughter, it appears, is not a valid USB device.
