A DIFFERENT KIND OF JESUS

I had a fun chat with my two-year-old daughter last night as I tucked her into bed. After I prayed with her (which we do every night), I started telling her about how Jesus loves her, and how he watches over her, etc., etc. Even at two, she's a fairly sharp kid, having the entire Lord's prayer memorized. Of course... at two, she doesn't quite have the details down correctly. When she first learned the prayer, she mistook, "and the glory, forever and ever" with "for never never," which sort of changes the meaning of the whole thing.
Anyhow, I started to get a little deeper into theology and so I said, "when you finally meet Jesus face-to-face, He's going to break your heart," alluding to way Christ calls us to sacrifice everything for Him.
Without skipping a beat, my daughter looks up and says to me, "Jesus is going to break my arm?"
Well, that's one bible lesson down the drain. I guess I have to remember that she's still just two years old.
