BEING SICK SUCKS

Being sick sucks. There's something grotesque about the nature of illness - the communicable kind, anyway. A virus, or bacteria, starts out inside some other person or animal where it attacks and thrives by creating sinister clones of itself either by corrupting the DNA in some cell, or by simply feeding on the host. And then at some point, this illness-bearing thing manages to wriggle out of the host and find its way into another host, surviving the interim either by surrounding itself in some kind of mucus or proteinaceus fluid, waiting for the new host to consume that mucus or proteinaceus fluid.

Grotesque indeed.

I'm sick. My wife is sick, and I think my child is sick as well. It sucks.
