ORIGAMI CRANE

When I was young... maybe seven years old, I received a Christmas gift from some of my cousins in Korea. I don't remember what the gift was, but I remember that instead of packing peanuts or crumpled paper, they used hundreds of tiny origami cranes to keep the contents of the package safe. It was amazing, and particularly so because at that age, I had never seen an origami crane.

My mom helped me reverse engineer the folding and I learned how to make them. Maybe one day I'll send them a gift with origami cranes. Or maybe I'll weld up another metal crane and send it their way!
